Two payment choices: Buy-All or Netting

New residential solar uses the state’s RRES program. You choose how you’re paid for the power.

Netting

  • Buy-All vs Netting is a real money choice — we model both.
  • 2026 Netting can include a production charge; we include it in quotes.

How your bill works

Under RRES you pick Buy-All (paid a set rate for production) or Netting (bill credits when you send power out).

To get connected

  • Apply through the utility with a licensed installer
  • Program rate locks for the term once approved
  • Expect a production meter on many projects

Insurance

Normal home coverage; provide proof if the utility asks.

Good

  • Long-term Buy-All rate can be strong
  • Clear statewide program

Watch

  • Wrong program choice can cost you
  • Netting has extra charges to account for
